Day 14: South Korea to Tokyo, Japan

Gyeongju! My last day in Korea! :( Today I went to Tumuli Park, which has lots of tombs from Korean's old kings. It was cool, It was also a park, so it was very relaxing and pretty.

I forgot to say that, but I've been staying at Hyndai Hotel Gyeongju. It's really good. I was out yesterday, and I had this really yummy kalguku. It's a broth with knife-cute noodles, it was so delicious.

See ya later South Korea! I have a date with Japan! Going to be AWESOME!!

I'm staying 12 days in Japan. I'm staying 4 in Tokyo, the capital, 4 in Kyoto, the old capital, and 4 in Osaka. I flew in with Asiana Airlines. They took my picture and fingerprints here, too. Plus, I have to keep my passport on me all all times. That won't label me as a tourist. I'm staying at the Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo. I have a JR Pass to train from place to place. It was pretty cheap.

Fun facts about Japan:
Geography: Island nation to the east of China. Most is rugged and mountainous.
Currency: Japanese Yen (¥)
GDP per capita: $45,774
Culture: -lots of western influences, so "traditional" Japanese culture is important
-rivalry between Tokyo and Osaka & Kyoto
-lots of music, games, hobbies, fashion
